When you're about to be parents for the first time, it can be both exciting and daunting. Sarah and Scott understood this. It wasn't that long ago they were pregnant with Logan and looking for an obstetrician. "As a new mommy, I was scared at first; I wasn't sure what to do. Then I heard all these great things about Dr. Schad. I had to meet him," Sarah says.

The young couple met with Dr. Schad and liked how they were treated. Sarah says, "He made us feel really comfortable because he talked with us-not at us. He gave us options and asked what we wanted. Scott really appreciated how he was included in everything; it felt like his pregnancy too.

Knowing you can trust your doctor is very important. During delivery, Baby Logan had some heartbeat problems. The whole pregnancy had been pretty easy for Sarah. She was very fortunate. So, when Logan's heart started doing unexpected things, Sarah was scared, but not for long. "Dr. Schad knew just what to do, and he explained everything. He was very soothing and calm. It really made a difference for me," Sarah says. Today, Logan is a healthy baby boy with sandy brown hair and a sweet smile.

Sometimes it's the little things that help you trust a place. Sarah says, "This might seem silly, but a big thing for me was how they responded when I pushed the call button from my hospital room. They came right away and were always so nice, no matter how busy it was. In the larger hospitals it would be 20 minutes before someone responded, and then it was over the intercom. Would I choose Sauk Prairie Memorial again? No question."
