Lodi Medical Clinic celebrates grand opening with 400 community members

Approximately 400 people attended the new Lodi Medical Clinic’s grand opening celebration Sunday.  In addition to staff-guided tours and refreshments, those in attendance received either a T-shirt or a drawstring backpack and had the opportunity for a cholesterol screening, a blood glucose screening and a volume check on their iPod or mp3 player.

“I’m amazed at how many people came out… I couldn’t even find a place to park,” said Dale Fanney, MD, a family medicine physician in Lodi for 30 years.  “The turnout confirms this is the community’s clinic and that people are interested in access to local health care.”

The new Lodi Medical Clinic, located at 160 Valley Drive, is much larger than the previous facility with 15 exam rooms and two procedures rooms, offering more adequate space and improved efficiency for the growing practice.  The new clinic also offers physical therapy and occupational therapy services, which were previously located at Lodi High School.  Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital & Clinics invested $1.8 million in the new clinic, which opened June 7.

“I am proud of our new clinic and the staff that made it happen,” said Larry Schroeder, CEO of SPMHC. “I’m also thankful to the city for all they did to help us get this wonderful project completed.  They were very helpful in stepping forward to help meet our needs in getting all the approvals necessary to build this clinic for the community.”

SPMHC board member and Lodi resident Neil Bishop said, “I am proud to be a part of this board which had the vision and courage to proceed with this project. This clinic will be great for the people of Lodi, the clinic staff and SPMHC.”

Lodi Medical Clinic, which employs 25 people, is home to family medicine physicians Dr. Dale Fanney and Dr. Tom Sullivan; pediatrician Dr. Andrea Chao; and primary care providers Dave Eberdt, PA-C, Deanna Lord, PA-C and Karen Meng, APNP. Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital & Clinics’ Rehabilitation Services is also at the new location with physical therapist Shelli Ness and occupational therapist Peg Faludi. Visiting specialists gynecologist Todd Schad, MD, and audiologist Sandy Hoke also hold appointments in the new building.
