Dr. Diana Kruse
was recently honored for 25 years of service
at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital & Clinics. Dr. Kruse,
an orthopedic surgeon who joined SPMHC in 1981 first sharing
office and clinic space with general surgeon
Dr. John DeGiovanni
(shown left), now has a clinic at 208 Phillips Blvd. in Sauk
City. "Naysayers claimed there weren't enough orthopedic
patients in the area," says Dr. Kruse. "To their
surprise - and mine - there wasn't a day in the first year
when I didn't come in!" Today, there are five orthopedic
surgeons on SPMHC's medical staff, performing nearly 1,100
orthopedic surgeries each year. In honor of Dr. Kruse's 25th
anniversary, SPMHC's board of directors made a $250 donation
in her name to the Good Neighbor Clinic.
